Today I’m going to share with you some of the basic money envelopes I made.
They are a huge thing here in India. I love making them and I hope you like them too.
Without further ado let’s get started!
I started with my 12 by 12 Dress My Craft (DMC) white card stock and trimmed it to 8.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches long with my DMC trimmer.
Since my trimmer comes with it’s own scorer I scored at 0.5 inches and 8inches on the wide side.
Followed my 3 inches from both the ends on the length side.
This is the basic structure to your envelope. With this as the base you can always increase or decrease the measurements according to your requirements.
Cut out the part to get flaps, and fold the flaps along the scored lines, inwards. Glue to bottom scored part to the flaps and this is the easiest way to make an envelope in no time! To give it more interest I have pushed DMC daily border punch alone the flap to add more interest.
Just to show variations I have made them with the same way but I have decorated it different.
The base is a little bigger just so that I have a bigger working canvas.
I have rounded the edges of the pattern paper with a corner rounder and distressed them!
If you want any details or review about DMC products pls let me know. I love their products, pocket friendly and best quality. Everything is taken into account when they were made.
If you do recreate them please don’t forget to tag me or mail me. I would to see your take on them.
